Part 1: The Forgotten Forge (Knight Otu judging) [Concluded]

(OOC: Well, I guess it could also be a piece of a treasure map to the actual artifact too--either way, it was major enough for the Lord of Blades to murder, risk exposure, and send several well-equipped minions :uhoh: )

[SBLOCK=OOC]Assuming nothing happen during the night...[/SBLOCK]

Half the night have pass that Kharas is still working over the schema. After another hours, he falls asleep over the adamantium plate. He awakes as Weapon pass near him while checking for his watch.

As the group is all awake, Kharas explain what he has found.

"I never had the chance to fall on something so complex. No wonder the Cannith have been the only one to devellop the warforged. It is related to the warforged, but I cannot tell if it is a schema for a specific type, or it is only the theory behind it. One thing is sure, we have the equivalent of a page of a book. There must be more than one piece and only if we put all of them together I would be able to understand more what it is told on this piece."

"Then, without the other pieces, our employer cannot construct a doomsday device." Gathering his equipment, Weapon looks at the others. "I am ready then. If we are to find the Cannith towers on high, we should leave soon. If we are to go to a Sivis station and inform our employer, we should leave. In any case, we are only decaying the longer we wait."

"Unless, of course, this is the last one they don't have," Siobhan points out, "But yes, we should go and check with the others at House Cannith. If Elaydrin turns out to be nothing more than she seems, I will be surprised, but then we shall be done. And otherwise, we'll be finished too, as we can turn in the schema to the other Canniths."

Weapon shakes his head. "The agreement is to verify our employer's information, not to turn it over to others. That would be a breech of our word. If you wish to renegotiate, that is an issue between those that entered the agreement. Verification with the chain of command is acceptable---going above them without proof of malfeasance is not."

The warforged indicates the sleeping dwarf nearby. "Mordin has already verified who the our employer is, so I suggest he be part of the effort to verify the information."

"That's why I said 'and otherwise'," Siobhan sighs, "The otherwise is for if she is deceiving us. Anyway, I dare say I'll take what help I can get, but I doubt he'll want to give it, and considering his opinion, he would likely be biased towards leaving before we get any information. Know that I will see this through until we are sure that her actions are legitimate and recognised by her fellows and superiors, rather than shadowy and underhanded, guided by a secret master."

Mordin snorts at Soibhan's words and makes ready to leave. "I do be thinkin' ye will find some myst'ry even if th' gods themselves appeared and told ye 'nay.'" He collects his gear (and, if no one else claims it, the longsword) and looks to the others.

"Unless anyone be claiming the sword, I figger we sell it and split the proceeds. Th' same with everything else. I'm sure there's a reward innit for bringin' a follower o' the Lord o' Blades to the Watch - and they do be more capable of verifyin' evil intent than I do."
