[Pathfinder] Scotley's Kingmaker IC continued.

Liam finishes his grooming and readies himself to move forward. His first step tangles his foot in a tree root nearly spilling him on his face! His face darkens in embarrassment as he struggles to free himself while the others start forward. He starts to think more and more favorably of the idea of burning this damn tree down!

GM: Humble apologies gang. I had some things distract me, but I'm back on track now. I can't believe how quickly two weeks blew by. Working on a proper post now.

Three crude, wooden workbenches occupy the center of this room, their tops strewn with various tiny tools, metal and wooden hardware, and blocks of wood. A little hideously ugly blue fellow charges forward at Pixie squinting his bulging eyes against the light a dagger in his hand. His attack fails to get close to Pixie. A second of the ugly little blue creatures launches a spikey metal ball from a crude miniature catapult of bone and wood from the shadows. This contraption is obviously the source of the odd 'thwack' sounds you heard earlier. The little missile hits Pixie in the side of the head and while it stings a bit the injury is minor (1 point damage). He ducks for cover behind work tables as he abandons the catapult and makes for the passage at the rear of the chamber as fast as the little bandy-legged fellow can go.

OOC: Rhote and Pixie (and possibly Kyria) are up. I didn't do a proper map as we only have two foes in a small space. You are entering from the Northwest with Pixie in front and the Mite is exiting to the East. Another tunnel exits the room to the Southwest.

"Damn it, bandit. Shake out of it and act like a proper meat shield. Oh, and duck!" Rhote unleashes on the creature attacking Pixie in melee combat.

Rolling on the ground gives a +2 circumstance bonus on the save. Dousing the creature with water automatically extinguishes the flame. Can use this ability a 7 times a day.

"You can take down the runner. I think I can handle this one," Rhote says, fearing more that the escaping mite may bring aid.
 


From back up the tunnel the voice of the druid is heard, "What? there's a runner? Where?" He pushes ahead to the advance scout.
 


As quick as a thought both the ugly little blue creatures are brought down. The one roasted by Rhote is burning on the floor while axe and arrow have done for the other. Both of the women notice their weapons did not seem to be quite as effective as normal against these little fey. Brondelleon reaches the far side of the room and hears nothing approaching from below. The unpleasant smell of roasting flesh may bring attention as it spreads. Prince Liam regains his feet.

Pixie frowns. "I know I hit that one good," she says, looking at the axe in her hand. "But if I had not been putting any muscle into it I get the feeling I wouldn'ta even scratched it. What's with that?"
