[Pathfinder] Scotley's Kingmaker IC continued.

Liam nods at Brondelleon as he speaks of laws of the land. "You are right that theft is normally a minor offense. This one is likely to thumb their noses at the kobolds and make their fighting worse. If we can resolve the issue without a slaughter, so be it. I will not leave a nest of foul creatures at our doorstep if they turn out to be enemies however. Let them taste steel if they so much as..." He stops talking to gape as Pixie clambers down into the hole. Spluttering, he slides off his mount and drops the reins on the ground, giving the signal for Palerier to defend himself while he is gone. He removes his greatsword and straps it along with his lance to the side of the saddle; reasoning that the hole will be too cramped to swing it. Taking his shield and longsword, he moves towards the hole to peer over the edge and down into the darkness.

"Kessel, have you seen Ppp, . . . . . Kessle?" The druid looks around and sees the prince moving swiftly and armed toward the tree, "Oh for the love nature, did those two go off on their own?"

*siiiiggghhhh*

"Abadar help us."He says looking to the heavens. He walks to the hole, but has hesitation in his eyes. "Uh, I am not so good at climbing." He starts climbing when it is clear below him.

"OOFF" He falls flat on his posterior!

Rhote joins Prince Liam at the hole and grimaces. "Brother, it's damp and wet down there, and I really don't want us to go in. But you are going to insist that we protect our more foolish brother and the women aren't you?" Knowing what the response will be, Rhote moves to quickly secure the horses a few dozen yards away from the tree's entrance.

OOC: Go ahead and give me perceptions, stealth, and initiative checks as you enter the tunnel under the tree. I may not need all the rolls, but better to have them out of the way and keep things moving.

Not wanting to lead from the rear, Liam leans forward to descend into the hole.

The dirt at the edge crumbles under his foot. The root he grabs comes away in his hand. With a surprised cry he descends much more rapidly than he had anticipated...

His long tumbling fall is finally brought up short by the roots at the bottom of the hole. Grumbling and cursing under his breath he rises and brushes the clods of dirt and broken sticks from his hair. He accidentally bangs his gauntlet against his shield as he grooms bringing a grimace to his face.
