[Pathfinder] Scotley's Kingmaker IC continued.

[Scotley]

Closest to the fray, Brandelon bolsters his companion with divine magic. For her part Pixie tries to shake off the poison and counterattack, but her blows are not true. Rhote chastises Pixie and hurls sheets of flame at the great bugs, but they are only lightly singed if made even more angry. They hiss with renewed ferocity. With all the bugs engaged around Pixie, Kyria hesitates to launch her shaft lest a friend be struck. Prince Liam wades confidently into the fray and slices one of the centipedes in twain. The bugs continue to snap, but neither manages to penetrate the armor of Liam or Pixie this time.

"Huh, bugs eating a bug. Ironic, eh Pixie?" No smile is seen on the druid' face. Instead it is paternal concern.

Pixie does not know much about the influence of the gods, but the half-elf druids patronizing certainly makes her angry and that is a feeling she can use, burying one of her axes in the centipede in front of her and then looking to make a step to cleave Liam's other one in twain.

Seeing that his companions have the battle well in hand, Rhote holds off from using another spell, but instead elects to swing his staff. The untrained sorcerer misses badly however, eliciting a curse in an arcane language.

[SelcSilverhand]

The Prince's sword whirls at the nearest centipede as he tries to shear off its snapping mandibles. He continues to encourage his companions and says, "Well cut Pixie, aim for the heads!". His own attack is rebuffed by the bug's tough out shells.

Pixie's anger powering her axes she does very nearly hack the hapless bug into thirds. Even bolstered by magic Prince Liam finds the carapace of his latest foe quite hard as his bleade is turned. Rhote is also unable to strike. The centipede's mandibles again fail to close on Liam.

"You're not dead yet?" seethes Pixie as her attempt to repeat her performance from a moment ago goes awry.

"Let's see if we can end this," Rhote says as he employs another fire jet at the lucky creature.

OOC: 1d20+3=10, 1d6+1=4. Missed unless a 10 hit with a ranged touch attack.

Fire Jet: Ranged Touch Attack: +3 = [BAB (0) + Dex (3)]
- Damage: 1d6+1 Fire, DC: 15 Reflex Save for half, Failed Save results in 1d6 points of fire damage a round until extinguished by making a full round action and DC 15 Reflex Save. Rolling on the ground gives a +2 circumstance bonus on the save. Dousing the creature with water automatically extinguishes the flame. Can use this ability a 7 times a day.

 

[SelcSilverhand]

The Prince opens his mouth to say something witty and encouraging to Pixie but then... disaster strikes! A buckle on his armor gives way, falling onto his sword arm. Struggling to get it out of his way he fails to keep his footing, trips, and barely avoids skewering himself with his own longsword on the way down...
