The Prince opens his mouth to say something witty and encouraging to Pixie but then... disaster strikes! A buckle on his armor gives way, falling onto his sword arm. Struggling to get it out of his way he fails to keep his footing, trips, and barely avoids skewering himself with his own longsword on the way down...

Snake Eyes! >.<
Liam Attack vs centipede (1d20+5=6, 1d8+3=4)

The centipede proves remarkably agile dodging axe, sword and flame with equal ease.

OOC: Anything from the Druid?

ooc: after that bad of an attack, the prince needs to commune with nature and seek guidance . . . . . snake eyes? really??

cast guidance on Prince Liam

While Pixie's attacks distract the centipede, Prince Liam surprises the bug with a prone thrust through its primitive brain. The multitude of legs spasm for an instant and the the thing drops. The space is quiet once more.

"There's a problem," Kyria says, looking at the bodies. "My arrows hardly hurt the things. Centipedes, yes, fine...but the actual creatures..."

She goes over to offer Liam a hand up.

"This may be a harder fought battle than we're ready for."

Liam accepts Kyria's hand and heaves himself back to his feet. He snatches up his damaged spaulder and glowers at it. "Poor workmanship on this piece. Look at how thin that leather is there. Imagine if I were jousting and that happened? Disaster, that's what! Luckily we're just facing a bunch of bug-loving ugly critters today." He ties the leather straps to his belt around behind him so it won't get in his way while fighting. Looking around the room he says, "We're armpit deep in it now, we must finish what we started. I'm sure we'll find that these things bleed just fine. Let's keep moving and find this bloody idol. I look forward to putting this grimy hole behind me."
