Perhaps a small boycott?

Boycott?:-S

No not really. Even if I felt like getting all activist about this stuff the boycott would have no meaning for me. The only digital products of thiers I cared about were the older edition pdfs.

I didn't have a decision to make at all. WOTC decided that they didn't want my money for these products anymore, no boycott required.

If I want any more of these older products in pdf format then I will get them without giving WOTC any money. It really makes no difference to me.

Same here. WotC doesn't want my money anymore.

I would be a hypocrite to suggest a boycott, because if WOTC was to put out another good STAR WARS book that I needed, I would most likely buy it.

I lost faith in WOTC long ago, but the fact of the matter is they are a money making organization. Boycott's generally do not go far. If WOTC was its own little company like Green Ronin, a boycott would go far, but WOTC is a DEPARTMENT of HASBRO. A boycott there would mean it is not even noticed by the executives. it would be insignificant to Hasbro's bottom line.

They did not poison books to kill little kids. That is boycott worthy.

If WOTC did fail, I would be fine with it. If they sold their IP I would be thrilled.

Boycotting one supplement is not going to do a single thing.

Boycotting MAGIC, well that might make a difference.

Well, that reminds me. I've pretty much stopped playing magic online since 3.0 came out (and I play exclusively online) because MTGO 3.0 is a resource hog for my 5 yr old machine and leagues still aren't back on. But I'm not boycotting them, they simply aren't offering the service/product I want. If a company isn't selling stuff you want to buy, just don't buy from them. All this talk of boycotting seems a tad self-righteous.

While I don't share the rest of your opinions, I would agree with you here.

You don't TALK about boycott. You just do it ... or not.

I like the product WotC produces. Why hurt myself by boycotting something that brings me and my gaming group a lot of enjoyment?

If you want a PDF copy of their products and *don't* want a physical copy, then don't buy the physical copy.

Personally, I'm the other way around. I stopped reading Dragon and Dungeon when they became electronic only. I loved the old Paizo days of getting my physical copy in the post, so I had something to read in the car while I'm waiting for my girlfriend to get through with buying clothes or beading.

Now, if you're really unhappy about not getting a PDF copy, the appropriate course of action (as suggested previously) seems to be writing them an email, or signing a petition. Given the massive outpouring of anguish over this issue, I think you'll have a reasonable amount of company... and that might acheive something.

no, you don't talk about fight club. You both talk about and do a boycott. If you don't talk about it, then you don't give any information to WotC. If you stop buying the foo Power supplement books, will WotC see that as due to an unannounced boycott, or that people don't like that sort of splatbook?
