Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I pet my dogs a lot. I get in the floor with them and carry them around the house and talk with them…they support and don’t judge and lower my heart rate. I look forward to getting home with work so we can do our fretting ritual and visit
I've got two cats and we have an elderly stray who we take care of (who unfortunately pees and marks the house if we let him inside, so outside he stays), and yeah, that makes a big difference.

Hoping to move into a long-term space where I can have a big fish tank again, which always lowers my BP.

Always set aside and keep time for the things that you love to do. Which seems like an unnecessary thing to say to an online forum for hardcore fans of tabletop role-playing games, but in dark times it can be hard to let oneself take that time and enjoyment.
Wait a minute...you're saying we are supposed to be enjoying these games?! I thought we were supposed to be yelling about how awful they are (or were).

This changes everything.

Spoiler warning: turns out I do hate myself
Not sure where this falls on the being serious/not serious spectrum, but on the serious side I have let go of my self-loathing and self-othering thoughts and behaviors (read: years of therapy, a good partner, and just getting older).

On the less serious side, you too can ditch your baggage in my 15-Step self help series, "Its all about you!" As a free promo here is Step 1...
Drink a cup of yourself each and every morning. This packs more serotonin than a wall's worth of Self Talk Motivation! Each mug of artificial self esteem is pure, concentrated self care that can be purchase in 3 easy installments.

Spoiler warning: turns out I do hate myself
As someone who has been there and often is, I suggest a roleplaying exercise. Imagine a version of you who was more or less okay with yourself - not a self-satisfied snot, just better with themself than you are with yourself. What would that version of you do in this situation? Do that, whether you feel it or not.

Sometimes it helps. Sometimes it helps a lot. And it very seldom makes things worse, because you know it’s roleplaying rather than lying, a lifetime commitment, or whatever.
