Have you always lived inside a city or is it something you found out you like later in life?Thats why I live within city limits. Anything is 5-10 dollar Lyft ride away!

I am very fortunate to have a family cabin thats a bout 55 miles out of Minneapolis. Thats incredibly short distance compared to what most folks travel just for a regular commute. The town its in has expanded exponentially and people often look at me funny when I mention where my cabin is. "Cabin!? That town has 4 bars and a Walmart!"I can relate. Many years ago I'm make the trek into downtown Toronto like it was a religious pilgrimage. I was always excited to be there and would spend hours at used clothing stores, alt clothing stores, surplus stores, game stores, and record shops. After working there for over 25 years I now get the hell out of Dodge as fast as I can.
Born and raised, but then my folks moved out to the near exerbs. That was major culture shock for me. I moved back for college and been here since. I cant imagine not living in the city, though I do enjoy trips away from it now and then.Have you always lived inside a city or is it something you found out you like later in life?
Yes. All these things can be done well or badly. I like them all done well.Purity is illusory. What would certain Old World cuisines be without New World ingredients like tomatoes, potatoes, peanuts, maize, cacao, climbing beans & vanilla?
That said, there’s something to be said for preserving certain things- ingredients , recipes, etc.- “as is” for the enjoyment of future generations.
