I would prefer if it was in western Washington, rather than so close to Spokane, but I do like the isolation and ability to keep out undesirables (aka: "people"). It's the sort of area where parts of "Z-Nation" was shot.

I don't know if it was always the plan. Move fast and break things as an ethos suggests to me that these choices are made live and in the moment. I feel like whenever they realized that their scientific or commercial ambitions couldn't be realized without copyright infringement on a grand scale, I think they chose to do it. For me, this makes it worse.
