I am fascinated by Puddles' career arc. At some point, a talented musician figured out the best way to break out of being a small-time local artist by was committing to heavy duty clown regalia. It works for him, though, as he shows up everywhere now.

Lefties of the world, unite.

My dad had his left hand tied down at school. His mom went in and put a stop to that. I was lucky in that times had changed and all I got was dirty looks and sore hands from right-handed scissors and spiral-bound notebooks. I never did the hook thing. I just let the letters lean.

My mum was a "kacky-hander" and was brought up in the age of getting smacks if she got caught using her left hand, not only at school but by her parents, siblings, randoms etc etc, I mean we are talking 1930's+ so fairly standard practice then unfortunately.

She became a pretty good pastry/general cook and was often asked by all the chefs and kitchen staff to sharpen their knives as she would be opposite to them when using things like the steel and was able to get a super edge which they really appreciated.

My best mate is a lefty and the only thing I saw him struggle was writing with inks as he would smear a bit, he had a bloody mean left kick when we played football (soccer), got those corners in every time!
