New Mexico Gas Company officials say a "third party" cut a gas line at Elm and Silver yesterday evening. Gas company crews, while trying to fix their line, severed the Comcast Xfinity line... which is in the process of getting repaired. Thousands still without internet service in ABQ. We're still trying to confirm which "third party" started it all.

Oh man, don't even joke about that. One time on a construction project, the contractor accidentally cut through an unmarked fiber optic line out in the middle of Nowhere, Oklahoma. Within 20 minutes, helicopters were circling overhead and armed military policemen were rappelling down onto the construction site.

It was unmarked because it was top-secret, and it was top-secret because it connected a state military base to the Pentagon.

hmm Oklahoma..so either Fort Sill or Tinker and given the response I'm leaning towards Tinker

I think that every networking IT guy since 1980 has had an issue with a back how and fibre ;)

Good to see ya meeech!

I originally had subtitles but when I uploaded to YouTube it wiped them out. I remade them in YT but you have to activate them.
I didn't intend to take a hiatus... but uh.. somehow Enworld ended up on the blacklist at work.. And I just don't use the PC much while I'm at home so my ENworld time plummeted drastically.

I could go back and watch with the subtitles, but I kind of like the mystery.
