Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

No, as thrilled as it sounds, humanity won because of the power of love and empathy. Forming long term commitments to each other, caring for the young, old and sick. Even going as far as bonding with other creatures. (Intelligence and stuff came as a consequence of us being so social and interconnected)
Of course jerks have always existed, but as long as the nice outnumbered the jerks, everybody as a whole was better off.
I mean, I take your point, but we also are far from the only social species in the world. Pattern recognition really was the key.
The ability to sweat better than other species also helped. Made us the best long-distance runners in the animal kingdom.

I can’t decide if we are woefully understudying nutrition, or if there’s just not enough in that area to move the needle when it comes to helping patients.
Nutrition is a relatively new area of deep research. We’ve known most of the basics for a while now, but some of the interactions are still poorly understood.

For example, iron interferes with a bunch of different nutrients, and is likewise interfered with by others. Additionally, some suspected interferences have been alleged- like with vitamin E- but nothing definitive has been confirmed.

…in the meantime, iron is a common ingredient in multivitamins.

Some of their flippancy about callers once they'd hung up is kind of a red flag in retrospect. I don't know any mental health professionals who'd ever behave like that where the public could hear them.
I don’t remember him being flippant, but it certainly is possible, given his cohost.

Of course, having Adam Carolla as your cohost for a show like that might simply be an intrinsically suspect decision for a mental healthcare professional.

[imagine the expression of disappointment with some of my fellow gamers that I just deleted]

Funny, I probably had the same on my face over the last few days. I just looked up a name I saw dropped, and the first hit just reinforced it.

There is no value left in that scene at all. Too divisive, too toxic, too 'peak twitter 2020'. Just nope, there are better games to be had, so I'll leave them to it.
