Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

There are a ton of people I see talking about their group online and I can't understand why they wouldn't just stop. Just the act of having to always be the one in charge of scheduling, and reminding people of the schedule, and making sure they stuck to the schedule has made drop groups before. Let alone...some of the stuff people get up to.

This is one of the many great uses for solo play. Can't find a group willing to play your favorite game, play it solo. Can't stand other humans but want to play an RPG, play it solo.
I have a big board game collection. Indeed I set up and played them solo at times due to the complications of scheduling with pals. It’s an option.

But when you see rants about all players DMs sucking whatever…people suck but not in that proportion.

The old TolkienQuest books by Iron Crown were amazing. I told my wife to play the first one, Night of the Nazgûl, and she had to play it twice right off the bat, it was so good. Highly recommend that series (well, the three that got printed), along with Steve Jackson's Sorcery! and Lone Wolf; I got a lot of play from those. I also really liked Sagard the Barbarian, Fighting Fantasy, Fabled Lands, Sherlock Holmes, and several others.
