You know it’s bad when you finally ignore someone and yet you can still tell exactly who people are responding to based on their responses even though you can’t see the actual posts. Some threads become total wastelands in terms of conversation.

That's been the case the with the only person I (still) have on ignore from virtually the day I did it.

To capitalize on the knowledge like you said earlier. The person could spend 10 millions on Apple but then Jobs never returns because he has cancer much earlier in his life and the company goes bankrupt instead of having a renaissance.

I think the implication of that question always is that the only changes that will happen are things you cause, either directly or indirectly. Otherwise the whole thought experiment is a gotcha.
