Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Looking into Mythic India stuff, and found that, among the supernatural races that share the Earth with humans, are Apsaras (celestial dancers) and their counterparts, the Gandharvas (celestial musicians, i.e. BARDS). They are among the devas, the "good" guys. So, @Snarf Zagyg will apparently be among the asuras, the "bad" guys, in my eventual Mythic India game...

EDIT: Maybe I'll make them gnomes? I haven't found a really detailed physical description, but I'm working through a couple of handicaps, e.g. my inability to read Sanskrit and my general dumbness.
Wiki: The Atharvaveda mentions 6,333 gandharvas. They are generally the husbands of apsaras. They are described as handsome beings who wear fragrant attire and are passionate about women. Some are part animal, usually a bird or horse. They have exceptional musical skills. They guard the sacred Soma drink, and play beautiful music for the devas in their palaces. Gandharvas usually live in Indraloka and serve at Indra'scourt, though they also have their own realm, called the Gandharvaloka. Female gandharvas are called gandharvis.

Some interesting historical notes. Devas and Asuras started both as more neutral entities. We know this because in Iranian traditional religion/mythology the roles inverted. The devas are the equivalent to demons while the good deity is Ahura Masda.

As a general rule, people are stupid. But they are individually stupid.

When people are together, you do not determine the group stupidity by addition. No, stupidity grows exponentially.
I read this and the smartass in me wanted to find an idiot meter image. While looking for one I found a website selling limited edition idiot meters for $850. Guess who is buying those!?

Sure, but nothing about height. :D Gnomes could absolutely have a few animal-like features; I see no game-mechanical effect. And in my games, Giamo Casanunda is a gnome!

Sure, that's why I put "bad" and "good" in air quotes. Alignment is not something I like in regular D&D; trying to apply it to the figures in these stories is an exercise in futility, as figures depicted one way in one story might have very different personalities and goals in another. Indian mythos does not contain simple black-and-white morality!
