Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

On the motorcycle board where I'm a mod (Law & Highway Traffic Act section, mostly), I like to remind people that obstructing the flow of traffic is also against the HTA. Look out for 'your' own actions and let the law take care of those of others. Too wannabe traffic cops on the road and road raging is a thing.
I've seen at least one instance when someone who didn't like the way the person in front of him was driving passed that person and stopped. On a limited access highway. In the left lane. Don't be that jackhole, definitely, but it's probably not worth provoking that jackhole, either.

I thought someone behind you flashing their lights meant they approved of what you were doing. Kind of like a "high five" from one car to another! Man, if I don't have people behind me flashing their lights, I always feel like the drive loses some of its sparkle. Fortunately, that rarely happens! Sometimes they get so enthusiastic about my excellent driving they honk their horns and wave, too! Always a great day when that happens!
Typically two quick flashes is the universal trucker signal for "it's OK to move over." Longer, sustained lights might as well be swearing at the top of your lungs.

Unfortunately, this sort of raging is insanely common. It's also virtually attempted murder on a limited access highway.

Yeah. When I say not to provoke that jackhole, I'm not victim-blaming, here--whatever bad stuff happened after we drove past was entirely the jackhole's fault.

My own approach when I get angry at some fellow driver is to back off. My wife has noted that the more upset I am by another driver, the more careful I am to drive patiently.

Client wanting to send in a laptop for repair because, as I already told them, they're trying to do 16GB worth of active work on a non-upgradable laptop with 8GB.

Client asking us to set up a Xerox copier for scan-to-email, when we don't do crap for Xerox.

Multiple clients asking for help to upgrade to Win11 on computers that won't support it, or are personally owned computers that we don't support in any way.

At least I have a 4 day weekend to ignore them.

What happens if you were passing then they sped up to match you. Not an uncommon thing to witness.

I have a feeling there is not good defense against those who are pathologically opposed to cruise control who also have no sense of their own speed and are expletives. I am hopeful the officer in question would be more annoyed with them than the frustrated person in the left lane.

I have a common problem. I’m driving about 5 over in the left lane. I’m moving faster than most traffic in the right lane someone gets behind me a bit close. When there’s a decent gap on the right I get over only to find they want to go about 1/2 a mph faster than me and by the time the gap ends instead of being in front of me they are immediately besides me and I’m having to slow way down because I caught up to the super slow traffic in the right line.
