Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Those in the know, rate it highly, the sort of auteur type director isn't as popular today.
Friedkin was kind of a trainwreck of a director but he had some absolute bangers. But I also get why Sorcerer bombed. It’s not the most easily accessible of movies, and people don’t like to wait for movies to “get good.”

Easy Riders, Raging Bulls, by Peter Biskind is a good book about the era. Maybe you have read it. Anything that is art, it's like going to the major metropolitan art museums on free day, they still are not crowded. Most don't know, don't care and consume whatever. Like going through little towns and what is left of their commercial sector is a Dollar General, and a Subway. I try to not be cynical.

Haven’t read it but have heard of it. I tend to keep that stuff in perspective; art is still being made, even if we’re going by whatever subjective definition of art - it’s out there somewhere. Sorcerer bombed because it had to follow up Star Wars. Is Star Wars not art? Would we be better off without it? I tend to think no.

I've hit the age where, when I log onto ENWorld in the morning, I see a bunch of reactions to something I posted in a thread and think "what the heck did Past Me do now?" (And no, I'm not an alcoholic or drug addict. I just make a lot of shoot-from-the-hip jokes and move on.)

The weirdest is when you know you havent been active for some time, certainly not in any potentially explosive way, but someone went back in your history and liked a ton of year+ old comments.
