Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Logic by comparison is not always good. Is that why Sorcerer bombed? I don't know. Why is Star Wars to be eliminated? The mindset is different. I liked the Thing too, and it bombed, though I would not have known it at that age.
Star Wars coming out a few weeks after Sorcerer is a big reason it bombed.

Yeah, but back then, you didn't have as many multiplexes. You still had a lot of single screen theaters that were showing whatever the biggest movie of the day was.
We had a lot of multiplexes too, like with Aladdin's Castle right next door, parents would drop us at the mall, and be back in a few hours. Though the film is what it is, and either stands on it's own merit or not. In another forum, some 50 something year old man moaning to me about Disney. It feels weird, I took my kids to them and they were fine.

I miss the little 1-3 screen theatres. A friend and I would go out for a couple of hundred Km motorcycle ride, on Saturdays, then finish up with a $3.50 matinee at the theatre that featured in "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" as the place where the SWAT team got slaughtered. Dinner afterward at Apache Burgers. Perfection.

I'll bet the withdrawal headaches are legendary.

Oh yes. Headaches every morning. I got down to 150 a day a few years ago (one drink first thing in the morning) but by 5pm I honestly thought I may die, for at least 2 weeks.

I generally use my Christmas holiday break to cut back, but I'm in a real state now.

We used to go see the mantinee of Logan's Run at the duplex for a dollar, parents were like good riddance. lol

I am a strange, strange man.

Almost two decades ago, David Schwartz wrote a series of short articles for Dragon magazine describing the Aztec pantheon in D&D 3.5 terms. I really liked them, but Paizo's run of Dragon ended before the series could conclude. He ended up posting the last two short articles on the Paizo forums; the thread has since been deleted, but it's still around in the Wayback Machine. Anyway, it's apparently bothered me for two decades that there wasn't a nice, dolled-up magazine-style article for those last two parts.

So, today I used Word and some art I found online to finish them up in a way I liked.

Almost twenty years this has apparently been fermenting in the back of my head, bothering me (to some slight extent) such that today the pressure was irresistible and I had to do it. Is anyone else going to see it? No -- I don't own the text or the art, or, for that matter, the trade dress for 2000s era Dragon magazine.

But I had to do it. Go... me?
