Limit Break Dancing (He/They)
There are two types of people in Portland right now:
1.
2.
1.
2.
I assume they're flavored like Mr. Beast himself. That's a pretty lazy tie in, at least make up a new flavor. I've gotten tricked into eating a few of the Mr Beast branded things over the years and they're usually...fine.
Ewwwww.I assume they're flavored like Mr. Beast himself.
Welp, guess I'm not buying any more Jack Link's.
On the one hand, I see what you're saying--there are some kinda obvious best-ish choices, and there are some players who will always make the same ones (Of the ones you've listed, martial/caster hybrid is a pretty narrow choice, IME, it's nowhere near ubiqitous.)"My character is totally different and unique! I can't wait to mix things up in the next campaign!"
Dead parents, again.
Martial/caster hybrid, again.
Same 15-14-13-12-10-8 ability scores.
Same starting hit points.
Oh look, another rapier.
I assume they're flavored like Mr. Beast himself.
Mostly I'm just making fun of my players. We rolled up new characters a couple of weekends ago for an upcoming campaign, and it was amazing how many of them had nearly identical characters, right down to the ability scores and choice of weapon...yet they insisted their characters were "totally different" from each other. On the one hand, I see what you're saying--there are some kinda obvious best-ish choices, and there are some players who will always make the same ones (Of the ones you've listed, martial/caster hybrid is a pretty narrow choice, IME, it's nowhere near ubiqitous.)
On the other hand, I could see very different characters and narratives coming out of that. Also, while the PCs in the campaign I'm running do have some not-great relationships with their parents, I haven't seen "dead parents" as all that recurring a theme. I mean, it's a trope--and not just in TRPGs.
Oddly, that’s not my post you quoted, despite my name being on it. And if you click on my name, it goes back 7 pages.Joking aside, is there any reason why this cobranding is worse than * gestures broadly at the rest of marketing *
I ate some Mr. Beast candy bars around Halloween. They were perfectly forgettable.
