I remember in the 80s my mom would take me to the Mall with her, and leave me at Waldenbooks while she shopped. I could spend hours browsing the shelves. Occasionally, she'd be a little long, and I'd stroll down to B. Dalton, one level lower and down a ways. I didn't think they had as good a selection of Sci-fi/Fantasy.

When a game store opened across from Waldenbooks, I was in heaven. Sure, they only had one shelf of RPGs (they mostly sold pool tables, dart boards, and the like) but it was something...
 


And now is when my total lack of interest in Jack the Ripper when I was 17 (when everybody else seemed fascinated by him and a bunch of new books and movies came out) comes to bite me in the ass.
