Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Welp, I saw my first Cyber Truck in the wild today here in Portland. Well. It was something. Not good something, but something.
They're all over Los Angeles. I saw a metallic pink one on the freeway the other day, and a few weeks ago a rainbow painted cyber truck. At first it was just the base metal cyber trucks, but now all kinds of funky colors are showing up.

I have yet to meet a single person who likes them or even likes the way that they look.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it stupid. I don't care much for fashion beyond dressing appropriately for the expectations of my work environment. What other people decide to spend their money on is rarely of any concern for me. I'm sure more people would look askance as my spend on TTRPG geek stuff than would look on people buying new clothing with a worn-in look.

I mean, if I had my way, everyone would wear coveralls with their names stitched on the front. Practical, comfortable for any body type, and address my poor ability to remember people's names.

It is not uncommon for me to look over new threads and the only thing that comes to mind is "I don't care." So, naturally, I ignore those threads and move on. I've never understood why other folks seem compelled to take the time to go into threads they don't care about to tell everyone they don't care. I don't mean people going into threads to complain about some trend or rule, etc., they don't like. I may find such posts annoying, depending upon the poster's language and level of antagonism. But I at last understand somewhat the psychology behind the compulsion to complain.

But taking the time to post "I don't care" or "meh", where does that come from? Is it that they do care and this is just a way to passive aggressively complain or be dismissive? It is the only way I can make sense of it. If one truly does not care, why take the time to post that fact instead of ignoring the thread altogether?
Many threads topic is whats your opinion?, so you can expect a few "I dont cares". Other times, folks just have an axe to grind so they show up to every thread remotely possible to do their song and dance. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, my entire East US region is down and I’ve spent…50… hours since Friday Getting techs out.

MS has a PE that you can put on a USB key and it will remove the file. Haven’t tried that yet.

Oh, yeah, Systems and Networking got to enjoy their weekends. Jerks.
