There are no stations pumping out new stuff, a channel dedicated to new stuff, sam goody with posters in the window of new stuff, etc..

I hear new hip hop, country and pop on the radio all the time. New rock isn't something I hear on the radio here (at least not often----though it is entirely possible there is a station I just don't know about)

As far as I can tell most popular "new country" pretty much sounds like Pop, with a nasal twang.

That is fair. And one of the other big changes I think in music. But you could take away albums and just say when was the last time a rock band blew up like that.

Do we need new bands to "blow up" for the musical style to be culturally relevant?

For example - when folks are making movies, what do they turn to to put together their soundtracks? It ain't generally Taylor Swift - it's 80s Rock and Alternative.

As a general note to all, I will give you a reminder I just gave my wife after finishing my last call of the day with way too many people way over my pay grade.

If you ever ask yourself, "Self, how can it be that this company, system, government be so flawed? Its one of the major players in the world!"

Just know that the answer is simple. Its people. Every company, every system, government, process, whatever you want to call it, has people behind it and not only do we, as people, make mistakes. We also misunderstand, we are blinded by pride and greed.

I used to be very into movie soundtracks but more the scores than the songs that were in the movies

I will say track selection and soundtrack, when done well can really make a difference for me as a viewer
