Remember the stories of left handed kids who got smacked on the hand every time they picked up a pencil with their left?

<Raises (left) Hand>
My dad was left handed. He passed it to me. When he was a kid the teacher hit his left hand and even tied his arm behind his back so he couldn’t use it. When his mom finally heard about that she went to the school and put a stop to it.

I remember your disappointment when you found out the bar sinister wasn't a place to drink.

Luckily, that disappointment was more than matched by the joy I had when I learned that "passing the bar" didn't mean I was just going to walk by a bar without drinking.

Fun fact- attorneys will tell you that they are forced to pass a bar, but they will never pass up a stiff drink.

It took my son 6 or 7 years to finally pick a hand. Even now, even though he uses his left more than his right, he still goes right for a good number of things.

Me, looking at the Boeing stock ticker: Hmmm, that doesn't look how I'd expect.

Notice that I'm looking at today only. Pick YTD.

Me: THAT'S more like what I'd expect to see!

The made me into the Judas Kid, who taught the other left handed kid in class how to use his right :(
