What would Mondays on ENworld be like if on Sundays it was closed to replies or new posts?

I think it would be like the opening of a store on Black Friday.

People who have been prevented for a day from explaining, again, just why they are right will be rushing in to make their point.

Except instead of getting low prices on cruddy electronics, they will be rejoining the same arguments they have had.

Better for the environment, I guess!

I’d call it “The Day of Give It a Rest Already”
Twitter is insane on weekends. It's not almost entirely the most extreme folks from every part of the political spectrum. Weekday Twitter is bad enough, but weekend Twitter -- especially early Saturday morning, possibly due to bots -- is nuts.

Interesting. I thought that social media tended to be busier on weekdays, when more people have access at work?

I don't think that @Whizbang Dustyboots is saying that it's busier on the weekends, just that it's crazier.

What I took from that is that the majority of people who have, um, lives, aren't on it then and that's when the hardcore crazies are there. Posting.

And while I wrote this, in no way was I thinking to myself, "Self, it's Sunday. And you're posting here. Which means ...."
