*That's what everyone tells me, but they unfortunately mistake the word "ego" for the term "media literacy." People need to smarten up! They aren't synonyms! Regardless, I hear what they say and then change it to what I want to hear, just like they intended.

In a society where literacy wasn't the norm, I think it might have been much less problematic for slaves to be literate. Servants being literate hasn't ever really been a problem that I know of.
