I don't know... Sometimes you see a response and can immediately tell there's no point in a discussion, so walking away seems like the better choice.Nothing says “I’m incapable of making my point but have to have the last word” quite like the old quote and ignore.
Absolutely. It’s the getting in the last word before the block that’s hilarious.I don't know... Sometimes you see a response and can immediately tell there's no point in a discussion, so walking away seems like the better choice.
It took me some time to figure out why I would click on a thread page, and there would be no posts in it, at all. Then the next page would have only a couple. It then occurred to me that I had so many ignores that entire thread pages were empty. And I don't miss the drama or the needless repetition. It's always nice to see my decisions to block certain posters validated so clearly and consistently.
I forgot that I had put someone on temporary ignore (they seemed to be having a couple of bad weeks) and was getting confused when I would get notifications of a response to a thread that I was following, then get an error when I clicked on the notification. It seems that you can still be following a thread started by someone you have on ignore. Who knew?It took me some time to figure out why I would click on a thread page, and there would be no posts in it, at all. Then the next page would have only a couple.
