My only problem with K-Pop is the same problem I had when Boy Bands and Girl Bands were huge: too much of it sounds the same.

But history is repeating- or at least rhyming with- itself again. Just like then, certain performers are starting to distinguish themselves from their bands and emerge as solo artists. Jungkook is currently following the same path as Justin Timberlake, Harry Styles and others had done before him, just as they themselves echoed Michael Jackson.

My wife has exposed me to a lot of thai music and I found this channel useful for learning the chords to some of the songs she likes. This song in particular was one I liked the feel of (they just give you the chord names so you have figure out the voicing on your own):

There's tons of gorgeous land in Montana. I've driven through it. Ultimately we will go where my wife wants, as long as I can get enough land to be isolated and in silence.
Hmmmm.....

In your opinion who are the most talented newish female artists ?
Olivia Rodrigo runs laps around everyone, but over the past 10 years or so: Kacey Musgraves, St. Vincent, Gracie Abrams, Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, Jenny Lewis, Pearl Charles and others I'm certainly forgetting. (In some of these cases, their early albums are the weakest part of their catalog, so look for the stuff that's got the most listens instead.) Wet Leg might turn out to be a novelty act, but they're a hell of a lot of fun.

And she's dead now, but if you are unfamiliar with the work of Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, you should run, not walk, to rectify that.
