The way people with dissenting opinions are being treated on this forum is totally civil, helpful, and improving the tenor of this board. It also ensures that threads stay on topic and don't degrade into the same useless arguments about who's "right" in matters of opinion that have been going on for literal years.

"Thoughtless" is more generosity than I can muster this morning. My current state of mind bodes for the session I'm going to run tonight (and which I need to prepare today--it'd bode less if I'd already prepped it).

As I noted elsewhere, I'm glad I'm not running until Saturday.

We wound up canceling last night. The DM was ok but one of the players was just too distraught. Yesterday morning I had debated bowing out but had finally decided I could use the company.

Wound up going to the gym, making a good dinner, and going for an hour+ walk with my brother in the unseasonable warm weather (high of 80 in my town yesterday here in NH) to work out some of the anger and anxiety.
