I dont know where else to post this but got a funny story from my Friday night game.

PCs are passing through a wharf town with a bazaar and decide to do some shopping. GM calls for perception checks (which led me to believe we are about to have ye olde pick pocket scene unfold). Sure enough, the gunslinger spots a hoodlum trying to pick our clerics pocket. So, the gunslinger player says, "I pull out my gun, cock it, put it to the kids head, and then say, "whadda ya doin?" buuuut not in a super threatening way"...

I think I get what he is going for. It's like the difference between the first instance of "Do you feel lucky, punk" and the last instance in the first Dirty Harry movie. The first is a little more playful, the second one I such more threatening

I dont know, I guess I dont consider degrees of gun to my head as more or less threatening.
