Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I feel like Toronto has been telling me I need to get the hell out. Not so long ago I was walking around in a t-shirt, but we got snow this morning.

Then again a friend told me, today, that they were expecting a huge storm and I saw "storm rotation", or something like that, on The Weather Channel. Hopefully that calms down before I fly in, tomorrow night.

Out west here? Yeah it's claiming we are about to be hit, J haven't looked at radar maps but the sky isn't looking great at the moment.

I’m starting to think reliance on “AI” to learn, teach, and make things is one of the filters for the Drake equation, aka it’s a species-wide Darwin award. Individually, if you’re so dumb you take mushroom foraging advice from a chatbot, maybe the rest of us are better off without you. As a species, if we’re so dumb we leave critical decisions to chatbots, maybe the rest of the universe is better off without us.
I’ve mentioned similar concerns here and elsewhere, especially after the AI mushroom foraging books appeared on Amazon last year.

Unrelated to the above: Your biases and your inability (unwillingness?) to consider other people's viewpoints--they're showing badly. Not a great look.

27. The foolish man in company
does best if he stays silent;
no one will know that he knows nothing,
unless he talks too much;
but the man who knows nothing does not know
even if he is talking too much.
-Havamal, (Larrington 2014 translation)

6. About his intelligence no man should be boastful,
rather cautious of mind;
when a wise and silent man comes to a homestead
blame seldom befalls the wary;
for no more dependable friend can a man ever get
than a store of common sense.

7. The careful guest, who comes to a meal,
keeps silent, with hearing finely attuned;
he listens with his ears, and looks about with his eyes;
so every wise man spies out what’s ahead.
