Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

That's a pity. the Vampire system was one of the most flexible that we had played. Finally you could do things like intimidate with physical prowess instead of needing to be the party "Face" all the time with generally less ability to follow through on threats, for example.
I loved and played a lot of World of Darkness games during the 90s, including LARPing them. I played a lot of different games during that period, but D&D, World of Darkness and the original FASERIP Marvel Superheroes were the top 3.

One thing that I've never done, is LARP. Rather oddly I have more than a few costume pieces 😂 (Though some of those I made, myself.)

I have most of the 1st Edition WoD books, but we never played anything but Vampire. I have far too many RPG rulebooks that have never actually been used in play, but were frequently referenced for game material. Somewhere I have the old, skinny Babylon 5 RPG rulebook, that I used as a source for a couple of adventures in Alternity.

The group I played with called themselves The Sneezing Lizards and also ran all of the World of Darkness convention games in Los Angeles(3 conventions a year). At the conventions we would have an overarching story across Werewolf, Vampire, Changeling, etc. that spanned from the Dark Ages to modern times and if you played in all of the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you could experience the entire story. Each game had it's own personal story, but that story touched on the time spanning one.

At one point White Wolf started giving us(the main creators, which wasn't me. I was just support at the conventions) stuff and sending teams to play in the games as well.

For normal play we were merely a group of around 30-50 depending on when you played. Fun times!

The other games were lots of fun, but it was especially fun when you mixed them together and ran the entire World of Darkness together, encountering changelings, ghosts, werewolves, mummies, and vampires all in the same game. Having them be the same system was gold.
