Speaking of Casablanca, here's a thing I learned a few months ago visiting the Academy Museum: Sam's piano is orange.

When they shot black-and-white, it wasn't all that unusual for sets, props, and costumes to be some striking colors, because all they needed/wanted was to get the values right.
