My daughter has her second ear infection in a row (I don't recall how many overall) and the stronger antibiotic tastes terrible. Getting her to take it is becoming increasingly difficult. I'm currently not doing any of the things she wants to do until she takes the medicine, but I don't feel like this is the best move, parenting wise. I've mixed it with Zarbees, which is a honey-based cough suppressant, but she still resists.
Still, I think I'm doing better than we did last night, when she got so upset at us forcing the medicine on her that she threw up. So, yay, progress...?
Me and my sister used to have them a lot. And my son did starting very young and repeatedly. I hope you find something that works!
(For us it was eventually getting tubes in. and I don't remember if I ever had any after that (certainly not many) - although back then they commonly took the adenoids out too. With just tubes, I'm not sure if my son has had more than one or two in the past decade-plus).
