Legend of Orin is awesome animation, well ahead of it's time. I have no shame in watching it for the visuals.

The script really isn't up to the same quality, though. The plot is pure camp. And the world building is... something.

To be fair I have never actually seen, or even heard of, any of the films you listed

I didn't say it was good, I just said I enjoyed it. Which, considering the previous four films I'd seen, was probably a low bar at the time...

I watched Battle Beyond the Stars recently when it was on TV. I didn't think it was that bad. Could it have been better? Yes. I have memories of watching and enjoying Spacehunter as a kid. I keep thinking I might want to see it again. I'll probably think it's trash now.
