When we’ve lived in places that deal with real snowfalls regularly, dealing with snow personally was no big deal.

But living in places where serious winter precipitation is a rarity, it becomes much more difficult to handle at the household level.

And the same goes for dealing with hot weather.

(Having nearly been killed by both extremes, I’ll take the cold over the heat every dang time.)

Same. If it's cold, I can put on more layers. If it's hot, I can only take off so many before my neighbors ask me to stay in my house.

I'm really happy that Polygon is doing more RPG coverage, following the death of other sites, but their main D&D writer desperately needs to play more games. Calling 5E a "rules lite game" is basically a declaration that he's played 5E and maybe Hero. and that's it.

I'd be shocked if he played Hero. He might be thinking of Pathfinder 2E compared to D&D5E...
