When we’ve lived in places that deal with real snowfalls regularly, dealing with snow personally was no big deal.

But living in places where serious winter precipitation is a rarity, it becomes much more difficult to handle at the household level.

And the same goes for dealing with hot weather.

(Having nearly been killed by both extremes, I’ll take the cold over the heat every dang time.)

My great grandfather (like everybody's I suspect) used to say "I can put on enough clothes to stay warm but I cant take off enough to stay cool".

Followed for some reason by "I'll take a boat instead of a plane, I can swim but I cant fly an inch"
