For those who don't know, the Stormwind Fallacy is named after a guy posting on the old WotC forums as Tempest Stormwind (irl one of the people behind Dreamscarred Press)... He was one of the main people posting in the Optimization forums and writing a lot of the more popular "class guides" posted there, and the first one to officially propose it as a fallacy in 2006 or so.

TLDR; The fallacy states that you're either a "roleplayer" or a "roll-player", and it's impossible to do both...

Weirdly, in over 40 years of playing and running RPGs with lots of people I've yet to meet a single person who's actually good at both. A lot of people online say they're good at both, but I've never actually seen it in the real world.
