Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Reminds me of all the times that someone has gotten into an online argument with someone and has cited evidence to support their claim, from a work written by the person they're arguing with.
There’s a bunch of them, plus the closely related arguments with people who are at least documented as being well-educated in the field of discussion.

In 2009, I was a Systems Engineer at a particular company. At one point, I got a list of 150+ people whose accounts I had to deactivate -- I realized it meant there was a lay off coming. Near the top of the list was my name and employee number...

The funny ones are when the person claiming the high educational ground make statements that clearly show they don't have the education that they claim, like the time I got in a debate with an "immunologist" who had no idea that vaccines aren't a 100% defence against that disease.

Probably didn't understand how a <100% effective vaccine could manage herd immunity, then.

It was worse than that. They stated that because a town with a population of a couple of thousand people announced that had a 100% vaccination rate for MMR had about 30 cases of Measles, vaccines were worthless. Zero understanding.
