Khalil only nods, signalling that he's ready for what may come. Such weapons as he carries are largely for show, and he has no illusions about his skill with them, but nonetheless he takes his belt knife in hand on the offchance that it will prove needful.

Etrigan rolls his eyes theatrically.

"I suppose then it falls to ME to open the damn thing," he grumbles. "None of you burly warrior types, bristling with weapons, oh no...lets have the arcanist do it. The frail, loveable master of magicks fair and foul...bloody Primes..."

He goes to the doors the dwarf checked and hurls them open, glancing over his shoulders at the others arrayed behind him.

"There, you see? Nothing to be afraid of," he says, before he even looks back through the door.

Etrigan threw open the doors to reveal a small coatroom covered in dust and cobwebs. Several cloaks hung on wooden hangers, although they were so moth-eaten and bedraggled that only a barmy would want to wear one.

Unable to suppress the scantest smile, Vorrin nods to Etrigan.

"That was brave. Now it's my turn."

Taking into account that the western door was enchanted, Vorrin instead walks to the southernmost point in the main room, into the small alcove, and, once everyone else has caught up, he opens the westernmost of the two doors there, and peers through.

Vorrin opened the door to reveal a kitchen and pantry stocked with jars of preserved food. A partially eaten meal sat on the stone counter. It was so spoiled and rotten that it supported a slime that bulged and quivered before Vorrin's eyes.

Vorrin carefully backed off, shortsword held ready. He knew enough to know that if it's slimy and quivering, it's best left alone.

Vorrin backed away, keeping his eyes on the slime growing on the stone countertop. Time froze as he came to a startling conclusion. It wasn't the slime that was quivering--it was the light behind him. The glowing brain dangling from the dome's apex flickered quickly, then abruptly stopped glowing altogether. The room was now lit only dimly by the light coming from the bedroom they had appeared in, and from the gentle glow coming from beneath the closed doors.

In the darkened room, they felt the floor, ceiling and walls begin to shift. It felt as if they stood on a sand castle, and it seemed the tide was about to rush in!

Without waiting to see what everyone else is doing, Vorrin quickly throws the door next to him, opposite the door to the kitchen, wide open and steps through to get away from the main chamber.

Vorrin leaped into the next room, and found himself standing in a large, empty, well-lit room. Like the others, this room was lit by a glowing brain encased in glass. It seemed unfinished, with only bare white plaster all around.

Feleghost behold all the scene and decided to roll into the other room to save himself.

Reflex save: 22

Feleghost dashed into the room they had appeared in, just as the ground beneath his feet gave way. His companions now stood on rapidly crumbling discs of stone in the large, dark room.
