Planescape was Handholding. Forked from Plane Next Door/

No. I don't need to for the Great Wheel, do I? That's in every planar material regarding D&D 3. As I said, maybe the AD&D Planescape material would change my opinion on the quality of the Great Wheel. But this is just "potential quality" to me, unlike the 4E cosmology, which I read in played in and definitely like.

I was moreso referring to the comments about Planescape and The Lady of Pain. But no, you don't need knowledge of Planescape to discuss the great Wheel.

Now I could be wrong since I haven't read my Planescape stuff in awhile... but was it an "alternate" Sigil in which Faction War occured? Where a method of destroying The Lady of Pain is discovered and the city is sent spiraling into chaos and destruction? What I'm saying is that The Lady of Pain and Sigil have weaknessess and are not invincible even if going by canon.

Well... yes and no.

Y'see, the "weakness" of the Lady is only hinted at. It can be used to alter the city Sigil drastically, and maybe it can kill the Lady herself too. But the Lady stops this bad event from happening every time without fail, and the adventure even says she can do so "without missing a beat." So whether this can really be considered a weakness is a little up in the air. It's a little like saying werewolves are weak to silver bullets, except the werewolf has a permanent undispellable Protection From Arrows effect going on. ;)

Secondly... it's Faction War. I don't think I've ever heard anybody speak about it in a positive manner. I've always heard it as the one adventure that totally f***ed up Planescape. The only adventure more hated is perhaps Die, Vecna, Die.

I feel like you're moving the goalposts now... many in previous posts asserted that there was no precedent in Planescape for the destruction of The Lady of Pain... yet there is, whether the adventure writer did or didn't assume she would be destroyed (and honestly with the reaction to the death of one of the sorcerer kings in the Dark Sun novels that became canon...I think they made the right choice in leaving it to the DM)... the idea that she can be destroyed (if the DM wants it to happen, like everything else in the game) is present. The same way a dragon or marauding hoard could attack a PoL village... if the DM wants.

Faction War also shows that Sigil can be thrown into chaos and instability, regardless of The Lady of Pain existing or not. Whether you like or don't like Faction War is irrelevant, it's part of Planescape canon and shows these things are possible in Sigil. (And most don't like it because of the state it left the campaign setting, sorta similar to the drastic changes brought about in FR 4e... very polarizing)

I wasn't saying it for the sake of Mustrum or my "projected issues", but for your own sake. You were making yourself look ridiculous with that post, and now again by so totally overreacting. Projected issues? Really? Do you really think you're such a great psychoanalyst that you can tell such things by a single internet post?
I am so tired of people bickering. You're not children; don't act like one. Insults are neither clever nor witty, and most likely get you suspended.
