What Arabian Adventures setting would you be interested in?

I'd want an arabian flavored Nyambe style product. D&D with an Arabian overlay that makes a new coherent setting. Something that could be plunked down into a D&D campaign setting with the default magic and monsters. Not an attempt at recreating the myths and tweaking the D&D levels of stuff to match that.

Al-Qadim is one of the best settings ever produced by TSR, and very well supported. Off the top of my head, AQ produced at lesat 6 boxed sets, of support material and adventures. Not to mention Arabian Adventures, and at least one traditionally packed module.

I'm curious: Many people want a 3e Al-Qadim it appears like. Is it that you want to have all your existing Al-Qadim products still easily useful? (though I don't see how they'd be less useful in another setting, only need a bit of tweaking)

As a long time member of the AQ list-serv (yes we still exist), the Sha'ir remains probably the biggest element of contention in porting 2E AQ to 3E. Sorry - carbon copy sorcerer based character classes don't come close to how the class worked. The sha'ir was both overpowered and underpowered and I've yet to see one official/fan-made version of it that matches my love for the 2E variety. There's actually a couple of Green Ronin product magic systems that come *very* close, if not hitting the mark. I may have to think about it.

I'd love to see a sequel to just about any of the AQ Adventures, I'd buy em .

the nul set

You forgot to include a choice indicating that we have no interest in an Arabian Campaign
I have no interest and many others do not either

I never got a chance to deal with Al-Qadim, but I heard it was well done and interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that, but I think a setting that can be used as part of a larger world would be a good thing, so homebrewers can simply plop it down into their own world in some fashion, which I think would get a lot of support.
