If I'm not going to use magic (or some future setting statted for d20 modern), I'd use Spycraft 2.0.

Yeah, I hear alot of people talk about the Sycraft 2.0 system. Sounds pretty good.

I'd like to focus just on d20 Modern at the moment thoogh.

Well, I've given you my answer, I just thought I'd clarify about my reasoning. My d20 modern games usually feature magical elements, but that's certainly not because I only play magical modern games and all that.

I think it all depends on the type of game you want to play really. I can certainly see wanting to try a D20 modern game sans magic as a change of pace from D&D.

What I've always wanted to do was to run a kind of hybrid Fallout/Thundarr type of campaign that combined magic with a post apocalyptic setting.

Groovy. You got me curious no, Psion -- can Spycraft 2.0 be played with a "magic" element to it, or is it really designed to be non-magic.

I don't see why you couldn't use magic in Spycraft. Indeed, there's a 2.0 port of the Dark Inheritance magic system and I know of someone (Auld Grump on these boards) who ported Elements of Magic: Mythic Earth to Spycraft 2.0.

It's more that supernatural elements are a bit better supported and more "native" (i.e., explicitly supported and accepted) in d20 modern.
