I'd like to keep the strong opinions out of the posts here, if you don't mind. This is just a poll, so we can look at the numbers and see where we stand.

If you are looking at this poll, you probably already know the standard pro and con Vile arguments. If not, look around a bit for a thread. There are several. I don't want to see this poll becoming the next battleground! Just a little intelligence gathering.

The options on the poll are deliberately kept simple. Whether or not you would ever use the Vile rules, you should fit into one of the 3 categories.

But how far is too far? I am on the edge of this one, I think publishers have the right to publish without censorship but I do not want to see the envelop pushed again and again just because publisher X went this far and did well. (Does that make sense). I know we don't have to buy the product but if the envelop is pushed little bits find their way into other products.

Other than that I am for it (as long as I know its there).:)

All for it, if its at the level of the BoVD as far as production quality. Corrupt damage, sacrifice bonuses, dark speech - truth is I wish these things were in the SRD so we could see them in other products.

Yup. Make mine Vile (with a capital "v"). There should be a good mix of Vanilla and Vile in every issue of Dragon and Dungeon. A little something for everyone.

While I don't like telling people how to play, my personal view is that it damages the hobby far more than it helps, particularly among the unaware masses (from whose ranks, ultimately, we'd like to recruit more participants into our hobby).

I'm not opposed to vile in some suppliments.

I'd just like to keep general audience publications (Dragon, Dungeon) and core books appropriate for general audiences.

So, I voted "No", assuming the Dragon and Dungeon points were the most salient. If you were referring to "Should WotC ever put out another 'Vile' sourcebook?", then I'd have to say "Yes".
