PrC and Wildshape

First Post
If I'm a druid and enter the, say, Verdant Lord PrC, will my wildshape improve? Will I be able to have a better animal companion?
The same goes for Sor/Wiz and Familiar powers: will they increase If you're a Wiz/Arcane Devotee (or something)?

They would stay at the level of your previous class... unless the new PrC specifically says that these abilities continue to advance.

Your wildshape abilities stop except for the tree shape that the Verdant Lord gets. Animal Campainion is determined by spellcaster level, so since Verdant Lord does increase spellcaster level, it will allow you to get more animal campanions.

I think at higher levels particularly druidic animal, or other companions will take a different flavor. I believe in both the Verdant and Animal Lord cases they eventually acquire awaken, at which point we're into the realm of Princesse Mononoke. But beyond and before that, the natural raport druids in general and verdant and animal lords in particular have with plants and animals lends itself to finding companions that aren't so much sweet pets as NPC good buddies. Who wouldn't awaken their sweet animal buddy?

Get a few more animal companions, awaken them, then let them start putting ranks in Perform (sing). Soon you'll be the star of your very own Buena Vista production.

That will make the rest of the group happy. They're already sore becasue the Wolvernie goes with me everywhere, even in the towns and cities. Most people don't like it, but he is better trained then most horses.

Too bad you can't awaken Candlesticks and Teapots. They're much more inconspicuous and can actually kick some ass when there's good enough reason to.
