I also did not like the templates.

There are benefits to a template like that, but they lose the identity and flavor of the ability as they become that abstract. IMO

Some people just like to complain.

They decided they don't like the new book, and are trying to justify their feelings by saying it's terrible because everything is just a power up and also it's terrible because they nerfed stuff.


And for the moon druid, it depends on the level. It's nerfed at low levels and scales better at higher levels.

It depends on what is being nerfed, and if it actually needed to be nerfed, and then finally how it got nerfed.

As for this thread and wild shape, I've never had any experiences where (despite it being very good) it felt OP or like it needed to be nerfed. Barring that, I am not a fan of the way they nerfed it, either.

And, as others in the thread have claimed, over all they believe it isn't actually a nerf at all because of all the other things they added to well, make the game "just a big power up" over all.

Over all, it is. I don't think anyone can really deny that. There might be edge cases, but in general every class is stronger than it was.
