Just finally saw this last night, and was waiting to check this thread, but I see no one else has said anything yet either!
Will try and give a better recap later, but basically, the fugitives lammed it, trying to get to the airfield. They find a van that Abruzzi had waiting, and while everyone is distracted, T-Bag handcuffs himself to Scofield, so that they can't ditch him (because Scofield would just be dragging dead weight, and Abruzzi needs Scofield to find Fibonacci).
Along the way, they began to break up from their 8 members- first they ditched Haywire, because he was too conspicuous (and crazy). Next, they told Tweener to get lost- "this is where our paths split." Finally, (after ditching the van and taking off on foot), they ditch T-Bag. How? Well, with a little hand from Abruzzi- or rather, a hand from T-Bag. In a scene reminiscent of Fargo, Abruzzi hacks T-Bag's hand off with an axe.
The rest of the gang finally makes their way to the airfield, where the plane is already taking off. Abruzzi's mob associate was getting too nervous waiting. Of course, the cops are right on their tails, and so, as they watch the plane take off, they ask Scofield "what now?" Scofield says "run!" They take off with cars chasing them as the season ends.
Ironically, the three ditched escapees seem to be the ones who get away- Tweener is in a horse trailer on his way to St. Louis, T-Bag is running away clutching his stump, and Haywire stole a little girl's bike and is riding happily away.
Other notable events? The President is killed (the water bottle fakeout in the trailer was referring to him, not to the VP; plus, it seems the VP may have been responsible.) Sarah seems to have died of a drug overdose (they say "possible DOA", but no one checks her pulse on screen).
