Putting a positive spin on the PDF debacle

You are in good hands either way, as the starting module for both of those Adventure Paths was written by our very best author. :)

The first part arrived in my house yesterday, Erik. I like what I've read of the first adventure of the latest AP quite a bit... and find the "a year passes" at the very end to be a very interesting device indeed!

Cheers!

Good idea,
(Along with a free PDF of Exalted to go with my hardcover) I got One Bad Eggs Shroudborn multiclass and Witch Doctor Class PDFs

Cool I love OBE stuff :)

I got the Paizo PDF sale email. I just went onto your the to buy the PDFs I wanted and discovered that the first two Legacy of Fire PDFs aren't available yet.

Did something change? I thought that they were already done? When I had a subscription before I would get the PDF downloads before my print copy even arrived.

It looks like I will have to wait. The 1st adventure doesn't come out in PDF until April 15th and the second until April 29th (according to the storefront), and the email says that the PDF sale will run until the end of the month.

Oh well.... those were the ones I was going to get, to convert and run with my local gamers. Will the third adventure in the series be ready as a PDF by the end of April?

Well, I picked up True20 from ENWorld's RPGNow portal, and low and behold I found out that White Wolf is offering free downloads of the Exalted Second Edition rules plus 10% off on other items with the coup0n code of wwlovesyou, so not ponly are gamers making lemonade out of these lemons, WotC competitors are, too.

All I can say is I'll definitely be getting into Pathfinder when it's released.

Who needs WotC?

I picked up Classic monsters revisited, gods and magic, and into the haunted forest from Paizo. When Dragons revisted comes out i plan to get that and the guide to absalom.

I also plan to pick up a couple of the creature caches from rpg now and possibly warriors and warlocks. Maybe even a 3pp 4e adventure or two.

While I cannot take part in Paizo's 35% discount at this time, I did download three free products from the site.
  • Old-School Gazette #1 (OSRIC) [XRP]
  • Old-School Gazette #10 (OSRIC) [XRP]
  • The Dungeon Under the Mountain—Rooms & Encounters: Black Idol (OGL) [01 Games]

I didn't order PDF's today simply because I bought Legacy of Fire, Curse of the Crimson throne, and Curse of the Crimson throne map folio from my local gamestore.

I have now switched gears into fully supporting Paizo. I was not so interested in AP's before because I just made my own realms adventures. Now that WOTC kiled of the realms, I decided to drop that altogether. THe AP are really quality products. I wish I got into them earlier, but I was a realms junkie. I was truly missing out.

Good job Erik Mona.

I love how the creators that contributed to the Old Forgotten Realms are now writing for Paizo.

PDFs go to subscribers when we ship their print copy, but they're not available for individual sale until the product's street date. So subscribers have PDFs for 19 and 20, but the street date isn't until later in April. And the street date for 21, which will go to subscribers next week, isn't until May 13.

Hope that answers that.

Thanks Erik.

I am also assuming that the street date is different than the "you can buy from our online store" date too. :)

I'll pick them up at the end of the month, hopefully the PDF sale will still be in full force.
