Queen of Chaos--get off yer duff!

So, I just pulled my Fiendish Codex I off the shelf and was looking it over again, and somehow I missed this the first time around, but apparently the Queen of Chaos has just been sitting on her level of the Abyss doing absolutely nothing ever since the Upheaval. WTF? What in the world is she doing? Pining for the Wolf-spider?

Get off yer duff and start threatening the multiverse again!

Anyway, I was quite suprised that this supposed very early supervillian has been totally dormant for no reason for all this time. And apparently Miska isn't dead either--he's just locked up in Pandemonium. Why in the world hasn't the Queen of Chaos tried to arrange for his release in all this time since and started trying to rally the obyriths again? The whole thing kinda boggles my mind.

She's been locked in a drawn out legal battle with Disney over their use of her likeness in the Little Mermaid. Until this matter is resolved, I doubt she'll take the time for less important things like Abyssal domination.

Heh.

I hope that with the changeover from Dragon to the DI WotC still gets James Jacobs to write Demonimicon articles on a freelance basis. I'd love to see the Queen eventually get one and move into a possibly more active role for a change.

Can't say I remember any significant passage, but it seemed to imply she was very weakened in her defeat (like obox-ob being reduced to an aspect and having to claw its way back to power -- perhaps her fall was greater).

Same here! A Demonomicon without James would be like the Dukes of Hazzard without Bo and Luke. Fear Coy and Vance...fear them!

I never actually got The Rod of Seven Parts 2E boxed set, but I know it's a mega-adventure where the PCs basically ruin her plans. So she's likely still recovering from that.

Everyone knows that whenever the heroes ruin your plans, you have the narrative duty to wait for 1000 years before again threatening the multiverse. It's just the way that things are done.

She's holding her apocalypse off until 4E, then she'll alter the universe to suit the new edition.

That's right, the Queen of Chaos is in league with WotC. More like Queen of Chao$!
