Rate Narnia (spoiler-free thread)

Okay, you folks know the drill. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best) rate the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Also, this is the spoiler-free thread, so if you must post spoilers, use the spoiler tags please.

The movie unnecessarily watered-down Aslan in a few places, so I couldn't give it a perfect 10. But it was good enough to earn a 9.

I gave it a 7, but it was IMO a 7.5, for my reasons look in the spoiler thread.

Very good. My 9 year old wasn't even in the car yet when he asked when we could see it again. I really enjoyed it, maybe even more than the book.

But the trailer contained some serious spoilers.

I enjoyed it, but I was let down. It didn't quite capture the magic of the book for me.

Very good movie. I haven't read the book since I was about 8 years old, so most of this stuff felt new to me. I gave it an 8 out of 10.

I enjoyed it and will likely see it again to pick up some more of the details and nuances I missed the first viewing as I sat and gawked. 8/10

Also a definite purchase upon DVD release.
