I am reopening recruitment for this game because two of our players seem to have fallen off of the boards. My preference would be to have people come in and take over the existing characters. However, I am open to new characters as well. Please post in this thread if you are interested.


I am interested in DM'ing a fun, somewhat oldschool, low-level game in a generic setting using 3.5 rules.

We will be using the DCC module The Transmuter's Last Touch. This is a relatively short, light-hearted, dungeon crawl featuring kobolds with a twist. Please don't take your character too seriously. If your character dies, we will simply find a way to replace him/her. No evil characters. Please do not apply if you have read/played this module already, as this would simply ruin your fun.

I am looking for four 2nd-level PCs. I would like to have a balanced party (Wizard, Cleric, Fighter, Rogue), but will consider other classes if they fit those roles. Also, while I'm not absolutely devoted to this idea, I would like to stick with humans, elves, dwarves, and halflings, preferably one of each. Allowed books: Core Three Rulebooks, Spell Compendium, Magic Item Compendium. If you really want to use other sources, please ask me first.

For ability scores, please use 28-pt point buy (DMG 169). Please use fixed hp as described on DMG 198, and give yourself Toughness as a free bonus feat. Equip your character with 1000 gp. No need to waste gold on carts, horses, rations, etc., as this will be a straight-up dungeon crawl. Keep backgrounds short and sweet.

It is important that you be able to get along well with others and have FUN with the game. You should pick a font color for your character's speech. The title of each post should contain your character's name, sex, race, and class.

I will do my best to DM according to the rules, but I have last say, and I reserve the right to handwave and make ad hoc decisions for the sake of keeping the game moving and keeping the game fun.

I will probably only be able to update once every couple of days, but would prefer for players to post within 1 day of my updates.

Avaxasir "Zazz" Nightwind

Avaxasir Nightwind, or Zazz as his friends call him, is not your typical elf. He is rude, crude, and can be quite the troublemaker. He was forced away from his forest home by the others of his clan, as they found his behavior too "un-elflike." Zazz just shrugged and travelled to the city, where he began working as a sneak and thief to get by.

Zazz is muscular for an elf, but still possessed of his race's grace and agility. He is fair skinned, with long raven-black hair worn in a poney-tail. Jet black eyes peer out from what would be an attractive face...if not for the jagged scar across the right cheek. Zazz dresses in dark colors, greys and blacks, to help camouflage himself when he is hiding.

I was going to offer a halfling rogue, but I see that Rhun has the rogue covered. I think maybe I'll offer a plain ol' dwarven fighter then. Unfortunately I don't have time for the detail at this particular moment, but I'll amend this post when I do. Lazarius is a new aprentice wizard strait out of the the wizards academy.... one of the tops in his class he excelled in his classes and far exceeded his teaches expectations.... though still atoning himself to his new found focus of his magic... he still has very much left to learn... for now though he looks for adventure as most early 20's younglings do to hone his magical aptitude... Laz as most of his friends call him is of average height... around 5'11" and is slightly on the lighter side at a slim and frail looking 140 pounds.... his hair is of the darkest of jet blacks and long.. about sholder blade length.... He's a rather easy going in attitude yet can get a bit spell happy if provoked.....

Rhun: I like what I see so far, but I need to make a point of one thing. Your background describes Zazz as a "troublemaker"... I don't think that everyone has to be LG, and troublemaking can be a fun character trait, but I don't want Zazz to make trouble within the party. I want the party members to all play well with each other. So long as that's the case, some mischief could be a lot of fun. :D

what do you mean by more character?... you mean you're waiting on others to post more charas?..... or you want us to make more?..... and how so?... as in other classes and races?.... I'm a little confused on this request...
